IMPERIAL DAYS

When people where freezing in Europe, i was in Fes, having a wonderful time in Le Jardin des Biehn inside the medina. The quiet place with a million of little romantic corners is full of charm and creativity. I spent 2 beautiful days in a different world inside this amazing town.

DINNER'S READY

Pictures by me
Few years ago (but still also today), moroccan people used to sleep & eat on the ground. The majority of them. Coffee tables which where dinner's tables for all the family, still exists. What i love the most is to be surrounded by all people I love, one close to the other with only one dish in the middle, sharing it. It is there too that comes human heat. Proximity and promiscuity that its decoration allows.

COVER YOUR BED

If I had to buy only one thing on my moroccan holidays, i would definitively choose one covers bed. The advantage of this splendid printed rectangle of lightness is that it makes it possible to be easily diverted of its first object. I imagine it perfectly out of carpet or on the walls or even in table cloth. Will handira or wedding blanket that you dream to have, is not more topicality, finally also was improved. It exists in red, in thorough Berber version. As for me, my heart is and will be forever with the embroidered cover beds of Fès (in blue).

| BED HEAD |

Okay, so i don't want to have behind me a door or a painting or a portrait of someone. I'm in Marrakech, at night, it is so hot that i don't want any blanket, i just want to stick my head to this fresh zellij wall and have i cold menthe tea.

| ZELLIJ - الزليج‎ |

I think that this blog will be dedicated to decoration in zellij because it became a true obsession. particularly like the walls dressed in zellij starting from half of the wall. A drawing in green, blue and white zellij at the top of bed or anornament on my ceiling. Still another reason to go to visit the only city which I do not know Fès.

| THE ROOM |

If I arrived in the room and that one would ask me to wait one moment, I could expect an eternity. This baroque Eastern style carried by these aligned mirrors is quite simply splendid. I believe that I will make a part with living of it. I will sleep there. I will eat there. I will contemplate there. I will daydream there
