BERBER HOUSE

Chez Brahim/ Pictures by Me

I did not look for a berber house, she came to me. As i travel a lot for searching for new textiles, inspirations, people, places, i found myslef sometimes in such beautiful pictures of Morocco that it is hard to come back to reality. So, this is how I found Brahim. I was searching for real honey, natural one, because in Morocco, everything which concerns Olive Oil, Argan, Honey, olives...it is always someone who know someone honest in the south or north of Morocco who can supply you with good stuff. So those important ingredients will never be bought in a store because you eat it but you also treat small pains with it. so it is very important to be organic.

I think that, no I am sure that, this day was the beautiful day in my life. I was so calm and inspired by all this kindness that I will never forget this place and this family.

A QUIET HOME IN MARRAKECH

Before there was a highway to Marrakech before there were riads which turn into guest houses, the red city was quiet and relaxing. I remember Casablanca Road was about 4 hours long for travelers, then all the villages on the road preparing for our arrival: meals, carpet sellers, hats Berber, precious rocks ... Memories in brief. Anyway.
Back to the basics, the
marrakchia architecture . Arcades, the zellij, red earth, a patio, a terrace in the shade and lots of carpet. I love the tile with purple shades and readings over the fireplace. This is the classical luxury way of living in Marrakech.

ORANGE VINTAGE

Via ElleDecor & FrenchDesignBy
When a french designer visualised her house in marrakech, first of all it was white. And then her favourite color came shyly equip each room. There is something vintage and 70's but i can't figure it out. Is it because orange make me think about old years or because i've never see it by little touch on a enlighten house. The idea is good, the ambiance is sweet and relaxing.
So Frenchkech.

BLANK

Clear interiors for clear minds. White + wood + red rug is the perfect recipe for a relaxing room. I don't think i can live in a all white home. I need some colors in my life. A boucherouite carpet for example...

| MY BERBER HOUSE |

My Berber House

If one day I decide to live in a small berber village in the mountains, crossed world and all the social networks, I would need only some elementary parts to my survival. A boucherouite carpet, one thump, a night table, tea glasses and nature.       Can't wait for this day!
