WHEN TANGIER MEETS FEZ

NORD-PINUS HOTEL
Before landing in the mysterious corridors of this sublime riad, let me give you a piece of advice : stop over on their website, close your eyes and listen to this musical beauty. This is what I've done, waving my arms like a belly dancer (which I never would).

I love the paneled walls mosaic which mingle minimalism furniture, the fantastic view that would drive any writer in search of inspiration to write a new novel, lush vegetation regnant this kingdom and this always hovering mystery. ..

I swear to sleep one day.

A QUIET HOME IN MARRAKECH

Before there was a highway to Marrakech before there were riads which turn into guest houses, the red city was quiet and relaxing. I remember Casablanca Road was about 4 hours long for travelers, then all the villages on the road preparing for our arrival: meals, carpet sellers, hats Berber, precious rocks ... Memories in brief. Anyway.
Back to the basics, the
marrakchia architecture . Arcades, the zellij, red earth, a patio, a terrace in the shade and lots of carpet. I love the tile with purple shades and readings over the fireplace. This is the classical luxury way of living in Marrakech.

BLANK

Clear interiors for clear minds. White + wood + red rug is the perfect recipe for a relaxing room. I don't think i can live in a all white home. I need some colors in my life. A boucherouite carpet for example...

COVER YOUR BED

If I had to buy only one thing on my moroccan holidays, i would definitively choose one covers bed. The advantage of this splendid printed rectangle of lightness is that it makes it possible to be easily diverted of its first object. I imagine it perfectly out of carpet or on the walls or even in table cloth. Will handira or wedding blanket that you dream to have, is not more topicality, finally also was improved. It exists in red, in thorough Berber version. As for me, my heart is and will be forever with the embroidered cover beds of Fès (in blue).

| THE ENTRY |

This day, on the streets of Marrakech, the nature makes me happy. Sometimes you should leave the natural hand of miss nature to do her best job. What can i say about this entry; it is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in my country. First of all those colors, erased by the time, the large branch and the green leafs recover this door like a mass of hair on a head. Spring leaves violet flowers swept by the wind at its feet. What a beautiful day, this day.

| THE LIVING ROOM |

Ladies and Gentleman, let me introduce you the real moroccan living room. You can find it in every moroccan house. Don't focus on the colors and patterns. People in general do not have as much taste. Focus on the base of a moroccan living room which is the wood end carved under one of the mattress equipped with a printed fabric.
The moroccan living room is almost obligatory, if you want to skip it, you should have a good reason. In those big houses, the MLR is useless cause there are other living rooms (the family one in front of the TV). It is just here because of the traditions. But the place where it is the most useful is in the small houses. Indeed it used as a principal and only living room, as the room for all the meals, as the guest room...We can not live without it!
