TANGER DESIGN

Picture via Google
I'm so jealous. First of all because my favorite city where I could live advitam eternam is Tanger and secondly because I'm not able right now to have a big house (i'm not accomplished). I couldn't be far from the Mediterrannean sea, the white walls, the big forests and the calm. Bruno Frisoni's home is very different from all the designed homes i've seen in Morocco, and the ones i present you, it is more about Art Deco. The one you can easily find here in Casablanca but rarely in the other cities. I love the view, sitting just here and doing nothing. Tangier is so inspiring you can't believe how much! Love the marble on the floor and the touch of color in sur-mesure furnitures (I guess...no I'm sure). Mediterranean heaven!

THE RED SCENE

Marrakech wall (Picture by me)

I was on my way to my routine Marrakech hotel in the Palmeraie, and as usual i'm obssessed with palm trees pictures. But when i stopped the car, there was a quiet mood, a small wind making the leafs singing, this long red wall, the washing under the sun and this very old and wanted leather club in the middle. This is how i see morocco, this border line between traditionnal and modern, the colorful way of living. So i'm happy to be able to publish this with you guys and to keep it on my mind for my inspirations.

A RIAD IN WHITE AND BLUE

Pictures by me
During my trip to Safi where i've been invited to a wedding i enjoyed discovering the city and a riad. I was really impressed by the beauty of this area. And i've choose the Riad Safi to sleep. This riad is located inside the old medina of Safi. And what i like the most is the light mixed with the white and blue touches. So many different places to have a mint tea around fabulous plants and cactus. A quiet place inside the rush of the market.

SAFI | آسفي‎ - DAR JILALI

During my trip from Casablanca, to Marrakech and Safi, i truly discovered wonderful landscapes and a mysterious city : آسفي‎ (Safi). This is the first shoot in a blue & white house. The rest in two days. Stay tuned.

BLANK

Clear interiors for clear minds. White + wood + red rug is the perfect recipe for a relaxing room. I don't think i can live in a all white home. I need some colors in my life. A boucherouite carpet for example...

| THE LAMP |

Yes, i can say that i had a crush for this lamp. It is definitely one kind of interior atmosphere i wanted to have at home. It is quiet simple to DIY il you have enought clearance and a vintage or creative spirit. You'll need : a simple bulb connected to the ceiling, an old board out of wooden, and ten glass of tea Morrocans suspended with wrought iron sons.
It was necessary to think of it!

| THE ENTRY |

This day, on the streets of Marrakech, the nature makes me happy. Sometimes you should leave the natural hand of miss nature to do her best job. What can i say about this entry; it is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in my country. First of all those colors, erased by the time, the large branch and the green leafs recover this door like a mass of hair on a head. Spring leaves violet flowers swept by the wind at its feet. What a beautiful day, this day.

| THE LIVING ROOM |

Ladies and Gentleman, let me introduce you the real moroccan living room. You can find it in every moroccan house. Don't focus on the colors and patterns. People in general do not have as much taste. Focus on the base of a moroccan living room which is the wood end carved under one of the mattress equipped with a printed fabric.
The moroccan living room is almost obligatory, if you want to skip it, you should have a good reason. In those big houses, the MLR is useless cause there are other living rooms (the family one in front of the TV). It is just here because of the traditions. But the place where it is the most useful is in the small houses. Indeed it used as a principal and only living room, as the room for all the meals, as the guest room...We can not live without it!
